As the host of weekend afternoon coverage for KQED News, I was responsible for editing coverage of the weekend's events and anchoring the newscasts over the course of the afternoon. As a Volunteer Editor for the San Quentin News, I had the opportunity to visit San Quentin State Prison to aid in the production of a 20-page newspaper that is published each month. I paid twice-weekly visits to work with the men on enhancing their writing, video reporting, story structure, and editing skills. I also did outside research and conducted.
