I have been a nurse for over 20 years, and an APRN for the last nine years.My experience is varied and includes : trauma, obstetrics, surgery, pediatrics, integrative/regenerative medicine and psychedelics. After obtaining my master's degree from Georgetown University in 2014, I have worked in the areas of pre-operative medicine/anesthesia, holistic and integrative mental health, psychedelic medicine, functional medicine and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I pursued extensive post-master's studies in nutrition, biochemistry, and functional medicine. Deeply passionate about finding the root causes of disease/illness, and I approach each patient encounter from a holistic sense, one that treats the WHOLE person. I am certified in energy healing as both a Qi-Gong practitioner and a Reiki Master. My energy work serves as a solid foundation and informs my clinical work. I am certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma therapy, and IFS. I am certified in Ketamine therapy via KTC. My passions include: the gut/brain axis, mind/body medicine, mindfulness practices, somatic bodywork, autism spectrum disorders, women’s health/post-partum support, and the healing power of sound/music.I credit a lifelong practice of Buddhist meditation as the framework from which I connect authentically and empathetically with each patient. I embody compassion and view each patient interaction as sacred. I am honored to walk this path with them. For the last four years, I have worked with ketamine; using ketamine as a tool for powerful transformation and healing. I see psychedelics as a bridge between eastern and western philosophies, and I am passionate about raising awareness and ending the stigmas associated with psychedelic use. I love to empower people, and help them to access their "medicine within". Fun fact: I am a dj. Music is one of my favorite medicines.
