I was a member of Travelex’s Legal team and responsible for employment law matters throughout the business. I worked closely with Travelex’s HR team, as well as the wider business and senior stakeholders, on all matters with a people focus. I have significant experience of advising on the full range of employment law issues and handled both UK and international matters. I was also a member of Travelex's leadership team and a participant in the 2018/2019 Accelerate programme, Travelex's global flagship development programme for future senior leaders.

Key professional experience includes:- Advising a wide range of clients including financial services, hospitality, media, manufacturing and tech clients on the full range of HR issues including dealing with difficult dismissals and negotiated exits. -Dealing with complex contractual documentation and HR processes, including reviewing, drafting and advising on employment contracts and other documents. - Handling disputes through negotiation, mediation and litigation including various disputes brought in the Employment Tribunals and High Court. - Project managing and advising on large, complex transactions including the HR impact of restructures and mergers and acquisitions such as TUPE and collective redundancies. - Staying abreast of technological developments in the industry and looking out for opportunities to harness new technology to improve client service. Former member of the firm's tech group.- Delivering training sessions on various legal/HR topics including attending and presenting at external conferences.- Working independently and with external advisers and colleagues across departments.

From October 2011 - September 2015 I was an associate in the Employment Law practice of Dechert LLP, an international law firm with offices throughout Europe, the United States and Asia. I advised employers on all contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law. Other key experience includes: - a secondment to a financial services organisation advising on HR and remuneration issues; - handling an aspect of a large piece of complex commercial litigation in the Commercial Court; - managing a large scale staff restructure of a global pharmaceutical company; - advising a senior media executive in connection with an inquiry; and - successfully litigating to prevent a former employee of a software business from joining a competitor for 12 months.
