Divisional Head of Performance (TASCC) -Secondment project to Surgical Division in TASCC Directorate. Role involves the implementation and delivery of strategic change through service improvement and performance management, enhancing directorate RTT compliance and the delivery of the Cancer Pathway. Working with service managers for 7 surgical specialities, reporting to Divisional Director and Executive levels, programme requires strong understanding of RTT delivery and Cancer Pathways; evaluating services through capacity and demand modelling, undertaking service re-design through the review of patient pathways, pre-assessment services, theatre utilisation, to manage backlog reduction whilst undertaking the delivery long term sustainability plans and service improvement. Senior Project Manager, Royal Berkshire NHS: Focused project forming part of trust wide service improvement programme. Working with Planned Care (PCG) reporting to Executive levels, Project centred on service specific work streams associated with QUIPP. Work included an overhaul of capital works projects across multiple sites to improve patient experience, service delivery and patient access, whilst creating new clinical space to support unmet capacity & enable service growth. Aspects included work with capital project teams, contractors, architects & estates; costing for tender, gaining PCG & Capital Investment Group (CIG) Review & overhaul of administrative processes to increase service efficiency, reduce waiting lists & high volumes of patient complaints. This included implementation & upgrade of software applications plus IT hardware upgrades to support Ophthalmic services. A review of patient information & communication mechanisms to meet patient expectations. RTT data cleanse & validation to form a focused plan to reduce the RTT backlog.Staff engagement & retention was paramount to the success of this project. Working with many disengaged staff, who were highly skilled & passionate about their service, a programme was implemented to develop & support growth. Focusing on extending skill & knowledge to enhance service delivery, changes looked to support capacity demands whilst restore staff engagement & improve retention.A joint working venture with Ophthalmic pharmaceutical company supporting growth of macular services, including drug license changes & new NICE TAGs. Business planning with service design, drug tariff costing, revenue forecasting & staff modelling, submitting to Planned Care for approval & to the CCG, demonstrating a capacity to deliver a comprehensive macular service based on a hub & spoke model. This project also aligned with the roll out of an electronic medical records programme, including software installation across all trust sites
