Hi I'm Kate, I specialise in using dance to create happy inspired 2-8 year olds, in turn creating happy and proud parents. Through my business - Big Steps Little Feet – I am known as the ultimate experience architect for young dancers, and it is through dance that I help busy, hard working Mums to develop a different, deeper connection with their children. I’m a former contemporary dancer with over 20 years’ teaching experience. I have one of Sydney’s busiest dance schools with 500 children coming to class each week.I get results because my classes use story telling to engage children's imaginations whilst developing fundamental movement skills and strengthening the neural networks in their brains. Most of my students are the children of working Mums who face 3 main problems:1.They’re busy, but they want to spend quality time with their children.2. They want their kids fulfilled in artistically authentic ways but they end up overscheduling their kids’ activities. 3. They enrol their child into formal dance classes far too early, resulting in their child often having both their creativity and developing movement skills completely compromised.I design entire series of experiences for children that their parents can truly value. I do this using my unique 7 step method that combines dance technique with imaginative stories in a way that is original, aesthetic, engaging, fun and gets results.I provide the opportunity for busy parents to switch off from life’s distractions and to foster lifelong healthy bonds with their child, whilst taking time to connect with other families in and around our classes.
