The Scholar Citizen Initiative is an amazing program for Radford University students who go above and beyond what is asked for them not only in the classroom but also in the community. During my time at SCI as a work-study student I was managing social media outlets ie. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, this involved growing the community of students who followed us. While working for SCI our Twitter and Instagram both gained 100+ followers! Another part of working for SCI involved using my creative skills and creating posters and social media designs for these events. I wasn't just behind the scenes though, I was at many events reaching out and creating relationships with other on-campus organizations so that SCI can co-sponsor with them in the future. As a junior, I was able to better learn how these events were put into action and was able to decide on events that were similar to events that we hosted/co-sponsored in the past.
