I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences in Human Development (GPA 3.79). Balancing my academic commitments with the demands of being a Division I student-athlete, I developed strong time management, leadership, and teamwork skills.As a member of the Virginia Tech Women’s Soccer (VTWS) team, I learned how to communicate effectively, lead by example, and collaborate toward shared goals. My ability to manage a demanding schedule of training, competition, and coursework has taught me discipline, organization, and resilience. Off the field, I helped organize team activities, promote community service, and foster positive team dynamics.I took on leadership roles outside athletics. As a representative for VTWS on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), I advocated for student-athletes' well-being and helped organize community outreach initiatives. I was involved in the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, creating campaigns and events to educate and raise awareness. Additionally, I served as an ACC Women’s Soccer SAAC representative, helping bridge the gap between ACC student-athletes and administrators and contributing to decisions that impacted athletics and academics.My field studies at Warm Hearth Village Fitness Center in 2024 deepened my interest in health and wellness, especially in rehabilitation. I assisted in fitness classes tailored to older adults with Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and balance issues, helping participants improve mobility, strength, and coordination.Currently, I work as a Rehabilitation Partner at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where I have had opportunities to shadow occupational and physical therapists and assist with patient care activities. Including supporting patients to work towards daily ambulation and other out of bed goals. I chart my time spent with each patient including observations and changes to ensure the best care for them. Effective communication is critical in rehabilitation settings because it ensures that all caregivers are aligned in their approach. This role has enhanced my understanding of rehabilitation and the importance of personalized care and communication in improving patient outcomes.I was accepted to Moravian University’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, beginning in May 2025. I am eager to apply my academic knowledge, athletic experience, and leadership skills to a career in health and rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapist, aiming to help individuals improve their quality of life.
