About Kate Cable
I am an accomplished and highly reflective teacher educator, mentor, coach and academic with experience developed over 20 years leading and training in higher and secondary education following a first career with the British Army. I am passionate about people development supporting them to be the best they can be. I also enjoy and am effective at organising and managing people and projects within education, training and development. My work on the Teach First Programme develops and empowers novice teachers to positively enhance the lives of the pupils they teach. This involves taking a blended approach to the planning, training and growing of talented teachers new to the profession. My key professional interests are linked to mentoring and coaching in order to support others' growth and development. My MEd dissertation focused upon mentoring; it is likely my doctoral thesis will use a narrative methodology to explore the effectiveness of coaching and mentoring.
