I am a recent University of Delaware graduate who is currently completing my clinical fellowship in the Cape Henlopen School District. My post-grad experience has been working with school-aged children from different backgrounds. Particularly working on early speech and language skills, augmented/alternative communication and social/pragmatic skills. I am passionate about providing services to families using a collaborative team approach. My clinical experiences in graduate school consisted of assisting in a hospital setting (outpatient and inpatient). Particularly working with older adults in the areas of dysphagia, cognition, voice, dysarthria and aphasia. During my time at the hospital, I gained experience in conducting cognitive assessments, completing intake information, performing bedside swallow assessments, modified barium swallow assessments and writing evaluation reports. I also completed my placement in a school setting with elementary aged students in the areas of language, articulation and pragmatics. In this setting I created treatment lessons, conducted bilingual/monolingual speech and language, articulation and social assessments, and writing evaluation reports. During my experiences, I have collaborated with a variety of professionals to determine next steps and the best plan of action for the student or patient.
