Principal Planner, Operations Planning
Current• Review ridership trends, on-time performance, vehicle loads, and operator and public feedback to see where service is working and where adjustments are needed• Lead development of fixed route service planning by incorporating public requests, stakeholder feedback, route performance statistics, customer feedback, and Bus Operations Service Change requests. This includes defining the route pattern, bus stops, frequency, service span, fleet and workforce requirements, and costing out service.• Prepare reports and give presentations related to Operations Planning for internal and external stakeholders to inform them on how fixed route bus service is performing• Lead implementation of special projects related to service development and operations, such Reimagine SamTrans. • Respond to public inquiries related to bus schedules, routes, and stops• Supervise and develop two direct reports
