Foster Progress seeks to empower youth from foster care to attain a college degree and transition into adulthood successfully by providing mentorship, advocacy, and educational opportunities.

- Launched successful peer-to-peer mentoring program for first-generation college students- Mentored under-served high school students toward college preparedness and success- Created engaging and useful curriculum on topics such as: college and scholarship applications, financial aid, study skills, career goals, and current events- Earned Financial Aid Advising certifications through Illinois Student Assistance Commission - Increased student engagement through effective use of Facebook and Twitter

- Taught Creative Writing, Journalism, American Literature, British Literature- Created and lead a Small Learning Community with a focus on careers in writing
