Having earned a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Tarlac State University in the Philippines, I pursued further education at Seneca Polytechnic, where I graduated with honours in the Accounting program. My background in the hospitality industry has sparked my interest in entrepreneurship, leading me to recognize the importance of accounting skills in business management. This realization prompted me to pursue further education in Canada, where I aim to equip myself with the essential knowledge and skills required of an accountant.My experience at Seneca Polytechnic was incredibly enriching. The program's coursework and hands-on projects sharpened my accounting skills, covering various aspects such as financial reporting, account reconciliation, taxation, and more. With the guidance of Seneca's experienced faculty and the supportive learning environment, I am confident in my preparedness to excel in the dynamic field of accounting.Additionally, working as a store associate has provided me with valuable insights into customer service, sales, and inventory management, which are essential skills for both accounting and running a business. This experience enhanced my ability to communicate effectively, manage transactions accurately, and understand customer preferences, laying a strong foundation in client relations and operational efficiency for my future endeavors in accounting.
