Hello, my name is Kate Dominguez. I recently graduated from California State University East Bay with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Video & Animation. I have a huge passion for creating characters and brand new worlds for people to enjoy. I’ve grown passionate about animation as early as 12 years old. I grew up watching animated shows that I would always find myself invested in and that inspired me. Over time I’ve been expanding on my skills as I learned storyboarding, creating animatics, and creating finalized animations. It’s been a privilege to be able to interact with fellow artists and storytellers as I have been able to learn from them and be inspired by them as well. I aim to be able to inspire other up-and-coming storytellers someday with my works and projects.As I’ve been working towards my dream of creating animated projects I have also done some growing by taking part in a theater club during community college at Golden West called "The Performing Arts Club" as Vice President during the pandemic. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to be secretary of my sorority, Kappa Xi. These opportunities have taught me how to collaborate with others through different approaches and have had me face situations of problem-solving and organization. I also had the chance to work at the CDM company as I created a presentation, helped with visuals, and got to learn the brainstorming process behind the scenes on projects when I was 16 years old. Now I'm searching for new career opportunities.
