Leading on crisis facilities management, Charity review and Voluntary liquidation process of Scotswood Centre:-Governance role reviews and recruitment of new Trustees -Renegotiation of several major funding contracts based on local consultation & needs analysis-Full review and refresh of Centre Policies and Procedures, staff contracts and handbook (independent support from HR Dept)-Implementation of new target setting/personal development plan, training schedule and supervision.-Active community panel established to allow local voice to influence development and direction.-Implementation of new Health and safety processes relating to the building, operations and outreach.-Production of a Parent’s pack to illustrate the rules of the Centre, emphasizing safety and safeguarding.-Development of a new Volunteer Policy including improved recruitment processes and training opportunities (Supported by Riverside Community Centre)-Data protection process review carried out, resulting in new policies, software, servers and internet provision to ensure GDPR compliance (supported by Culminet)-Robust financial procedures established with the help of an independent consultant to ensure restricted and unrestricted funding are recorded in a transparent and clear manner. Evidence of project related expenses are now stored in separate files to comply with funder requirements.-Coordination of a new ten-year strategy based upon a local needs assessment. -Increased partnership working to over 20 organisations within 10 months. Despite overcoming many challenges within ten months, the Organisation was unable to withstand unforeseen financial loses related to historic management decisions and went into Voluntary Liquidation.

Project manager at Shared Interest Foundation. Managed projects in;-Rwanda -Swaziland -Peru -Colombia -Malawi providing support to fair trade/ethically trading businesses in the developing world. Managing projects from concept to completion, this position required proposal writing, project management and MEL skills within the arena of International Development. Managing projects in Africa & Latin America whilst being based in the UK required good communication and leadership skills.

Evaluation consultancy: Working with resilience specialists in North America and Stanford University, I designed a bespoke evaluation framework for an organisation attempting to increase student’s academic capacity and adult’s personal resilience. The final report will serve as evidence of the impact this national home office pilot has achieved relating to preventing demand within crime and community safety agendas.Organisational development: Working with organisation managers to highlight possible areas of scaling and expansion of project reach within community safety and public heath agendas. Capacity building: Offering accountancy support and business development advice to start up community interest companies.

A three year, mutli-agency pilot, providing Holocaust Education in areas with high levels of hate crime and social degeneration. This role included development and delivery of Primary, Secondary and Adult learning programmes around the history of the Holocaust, the issues of hate crime, community cohesion and empowerment agendas. Achieving both local and national interest in this project, the aim was to provide a programme that allowed even the most deep seated beliefs to be challenged resulting in positive community engagement and acceptance of difference.Responsibilities included managing evaluation of the project, blueprinting, marketing, publicity and developing theoretical approaches to ensure this project can be replicated in the future.
