Blumont, formerly IRD, is a charitable, non-profit, non-governmental organization whose mission is to reduce the suffering of the world’s most vulnerable groups and provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency. IRD focuses its operations in regions of the world that present social, political and technical challenges. IRD focuses on five core sectors: civil society, economic development, food security, health, and infrastructure in addition to rapid response relief and other special projects.In her role as International Recruitment Officer, Kate led all proposal recruitment for competitive bids including USAID and other donor funded projects, working closely with the business development and project teams. Examples of successful proposals include staffing all key, long-term and short-term personnel for a $500 million USAID-funded Afghan Roads project and a $100 million USAID-funded democratic governance project, SERASI, in Indonesia. Kate also managed recruitment for strategic home office and field position hires.Donors include USAID, UN agencies, OFDA, among others.

Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. provides technical assistance, training, and management services to promote social and economic development to help better the lives of people in low resource and conflict facing countries. As Deputy Program Manager, Kate managed the administrative, operational, logistical and human resource components of Checchi's programs in Asia. Projects included the Afghan Rule of Law Program, Afghan SUPPORT program, Indonesia ELIPS program, MCC Threshold Program, Philippines and the Philippines Rule of Law program.Additionally, Kate was the IQC Administrator for the Monitoring and Evaluation IQC, a multi-year contract with USAID, where she led all bids and proposals, coordinated with sub-contractors, recruited and managed consultants and oversaw the final deliverables for dozens of evaluations of USAID-funded international development programs in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Kate played a key role in the firm's overall business development activities including proposal writing and coordination, recruitment, identifying partners and working with the finance and budget teams to create cost proposals. She also managed the re-design and administration of the corporate website and branding. Donors include USAID, MCC, ADB, the World Bank, among others.

BGS, now Lionbridge, offers interpretation services in 250 languages and dialects to meet a wide variety of client needs. Clients include the U.S. Federal government, EU government, private sector, legal, and medical facilities.As Sr. Project Coordinator, Kate managed the Mid-Atlantic region for a USG contract with the Department of Homeland Security to provide interpreters to US immigration courts. She recruited, trained and managed hundreds of freelance interpreters for thousands of cases ensuring fair representation of refugees and asylum seekers along with contract compliance and profitability for the company.

Supported the director of international protocol in the planning and organization of high-level international dignitary visits and events with the Texas secretary of state and Texas governor.

Provided research support in the areas of democracy, civil rights and civil society strengthening in Argentina and the Latin America region.
