o Provide specialized nursing and medical care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a 24 bed ICU with 1:2 ratioo Provide care for patients with various medical disorders including diabetes, end-stage renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, liver disease, various oncologic disorders, GI disorders, UTI/urosepsis, and blood infectionso Safely administer medications orally, intravenously, intramuscularly, nasogastrically, and via PEG tube o Monitor vasoactive drips, sedations, insulin drips, TPN, blood and blood product administration, IV fluids, electrolytes, and antibioticso Monitor and maintain ventilated patients, tracheostomies, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and drainso Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and perform patient education in accordance to unit standards for all patient typeso Collaborate with professionals across the organization to formulate an integrated care plano Coordinate health care goals using a holistic approach aligned with patient and family needs

Medical Icu

o Provide patient care including bathing, feeding, turning, and toiletingo Assist nurses with basic procedures such as wound care and dressing changeso Obtain blood samples for labs through peripheral sticks, arterial sticks, and utilization of central lineso Maintain appropriate levels of nursing supplies throughout the unito Obtain capillary blood glucose checks as ordered throughout the unito Responsible for setup of clean rooms

I supervise the distribution of incident & accident reports as well as the filing and directing of citations to the appropriate courts. Additionally, I supervise all impound releases provided the correct paperwork to the registered owner. Criminal background checks are also run in this department.I am responsible for responding to any Open Records requests coming to the agency as permissible by state law as well as ensuring all materials distributed through my department are done so in accordance with the Open Records Act.

I am solely responsible for entering the time of the approximately 400 employees at my agency. This includes entering vacation, sick, etc. as well as other time spent during out-of-county training, call-outs, etc.
