After working in the Culinary industry for eight years, it was time to help people in a different way-in health care! With a strong interest in Public Health, I was lucky to have the opportunity to attend the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in Duluth, sitting which I worked as a JRCOSTEP intern on the Fond Du Lac Reservation, experienced community pharmacy as a technician and intern with Cub Pharmacy, and joined the Chronic Opioid Analgesic Therapy (COAT) team at Essentia Health until graduating in May of 2019. I had the privilege to serve patients as a pharmacist at Red Lake IHS in the areas of Emergency & Urgent Care, Inpatient & Outpatient pharmacy. I then made the move to Thrifty White in Thief River Falls, where I worked as a staff pharmacist, as well as PIC of the telepharmacy in Karlstad for about a year. Life took a turn & I am now working at the locations in Moose Lake & Sandstone as part of a great team of pharmacists, technicians & clerks that serves patients in private and long term care settings by filling prescriptions, providing vaccinations, and offering MTM services in rural Minnesota.
