Researched the rate and extent of soil erosion during and after typical 10-year/1-hour storms on unvegetated, disturbed hillslopes along the U.S.-Mexico border using a hillslope erosion model developed by the USDA-ARS Southwest Watershed Research Center. Data included hill segment slopes and lengths, percent canopy cover, percent surface ground cover, runoff volume (estimated with the use of a WEPP Interface program), soil erodibility value. Presented findings to the U.S.-Mexico Border Liaison Mechanism Subgroup on Air Quality.
