Along with other franchise professionals, I volunteer to help the Franchise Council of Australia run education events, seminars and round tables for its members.

In 2008 I implemented the World Manager platform into the Foodco business and became a huge fan in the way it transformed communication with franchisees and their teams, and the visibility from Head Office. I joined the World Manager team as part of the Business Development team, to educate other businesses about the World Manager platform, and bring them on board as World Manager Community Members.

I was responsible for the management the induction and ongoing training and development of franchise owners and the franchise support team. In 6 years I oversaw the induction of over 600 Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue and Dreamy Donuts franchisees, which included classroom training, e-learning programs and in-store experience. I managed the ongoing training and development of franchisees, Company Store employees, and Head Office employees, in operations management, new product releases, legislative changes, customer service, and leadership/management.

I was responsible for the delivery of training needs of the organization in NSW and NZ, including product knowledge and skills of the sales team, within budget.I worked with the training team in the development and implementation of barista and consumer training programs nationally. I expanded the course offering to a wide ranging audience including business owners and the general public. Program aims included generating revenue through public courses, increasing product and service quality to drive business results, and launching new products.I lead the improvement of training course offering to clients and their implementation across the business, and the development and implementation of e-learning solutions for clients nationally together with external e-learning developer, Futura Training.I also lead the development and implementation of a ‘Train the Trainer’ program for staff and clients to improve the efficiency of the delivery of training nationally.

In this role I was responsible for the design and delivery of professional and management development programs for employees and management through consultation with Heads of Department. These include workshops in communication, delegation, time management, business writing, customer service, interviewing, performance and career development discussion techniques for managers and employees, train the trainer, and induction programs.I was responsible for rolling out global initiatives into the Australian business, including e-learning, career development and technology projects.
