My family created Feed the Frontlines NYC to fuel and nourish medical professionals on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and keep workers at Tarallucci e Vino and other New York City restaurants employed. As the crisis diminished in NYC hospitals, we pivoted to provide free meals to people experiencing food insecurity who reside in supportive housing residences and shelters. Many are from groups who have been marginalized throughout American history. To date, we have delivered more than 140,000 free, hearty meals, raised over $2 million, and brought more than 130 restaurant workers back on the job.
