Currently I am the social media and press coordinator for an active parish church, St Laurence's, Ludlow which is also an important historic and heritage site, attracting thousands of visitors each year. In this role I create content and communicate with the public about what's happening in the church, and some of the history behind it. I am casually looking for more work in writing, editing, proofreading, and/or social media content creation, as the above is only a very part-time role. My main interests are history and heritage; nature, animals and caring for the environment; various charitable causes; spirituality - not at all limited to Christianity, but paganism, Buddhism, and general spirituality as well; and literature. After working in retail, customer service, and hospitality for fourteen years, I went back to university in 2011 and gained my BA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Sheffield Hallam University in 2014. While studying on my degree course, I started submitting my writing for publication, and over the past eleven years my work has been published in dozens of online and print publications. My first poetry pamphlet, The names of things unseen, was published in 2015 by Prolebooks, and several other books have appeared since - one of which, The Density of Salt (Indigo Dreams Publishing, 2016) was longlisted in the 2016 Saboteur Awards.I have also worked as a freelance proofreader, editor, and blog content writer, as well as an in-house e-learning module designer for an outdoor sport company. When I can find the time, I also craft items from vintage ephemera and sell them in my Etsy shop, and at fairs.
