This ensured fast and effective closure of build issues.- Carried out physical trials on production parts to validate proposed corrective actions. This ensured that all time and budget spent on permanent changes to manufacturing tools would lead to successful issue resolution. - Established a good working relationship with plant and workshop technicians, creating a healthy workplace culture where results could be achieved quickly and efficiently.

- Recommissioned an out of service MTS shock absorber dynamometer through servicing, calibration, tuning, software upgrades and test program development. Writing test programs in line with the standard set by Ford of Europe. This improved the test data quality to the global Ford standard and expanded the shock absorber test capacity of the Ride & Handling team.- Supported the ride and handling target setting process for an all-new Lincoln model. This allowed the program to invest in features and attributes that the customer values.

- Drove the resolution of design feasibility issues for the Ford Evos interior centre console to meet the design intent.- Modelled 3D CAD (Catia V5) design proposals and presented them to management using both Virtual Reality headsets and physical clay models. This allowed designers and management to make the best-informed decisions in the early stages of the design process.

Thiess provides fleet maintenance at Solomon Hub for Fortescue Metals Group. Throughout the three months working an 8:6 roster at Solomon, I gained experience in condition monitoring, Autonomous Haulage Systems and lean management. I developed recommendations to improve the processes surrounding Scheduled Oil Sampling, many of which were subsequently implemented.
