With a pedigree in Superannuation stretching over 20 years, I have developed a career that incorporates both the governance and commercial elements of the financial services industry. When I first began in superannuation, I was rapidly identified as leadership potential, being appointed Practice Manager within 3 years. In this role and my subsequent position with Aon, I liaised directly with corporate clients to articulate a compelling value proposition for the product suite, in addition to managing the rigorous compliance and administration processes. In 2003, I moved into private practice, founding and leading a Superannuation consultancy, with a niche in employer Master Trust advice, and focussed on mid-sized employers. My role was again both commercial and governance-related. I designed the product portfolio, complete with client engagement and service offerings, and these efforts, coupled with my clear value proposition and attention to detail, saw us achieve exceptional retention rates as we grew. Having established ourselves as one of the leading providers of corporate superannuation services in the state and a ranked player nationally, I was asked to take on an advisory role on a national industry panel. Several years after I sold the business, I took on a contract with QSuper, initially as Secretariat Manager, where I led a suite of governance improvements, before moving into the role of Product Manager. This commercial role has transformed key revenue contributors, including driving implementation of the external Financial Adviser strategy. In addition, I created a highly competitive value proposition document.My current role as Client Services Manager for NGS Super (incorporating QIEC Super division) enables me to contribute directly to membership growth and retention, member engagement, and employer relationships. As a driven team member, I also thrive on developing related business improvements and operational efficiencies.
