I am Executive Director for Addiction Professionals. I have worked in the drug and alcohol field as a social worker for 25 years in a variety of settings and have a specialism of coordinating services and working in primary care.My experience includes the design and delivery of national training and conferences, production of training needs analysis, involvement in commissioning processes including producing needs analysis and involvement in procurement processes. Organisations I have worked with include NHS England, the Royal College of General Practitioners, Public Health England and the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce) and the CQC.My social work experience includes a specialism in supporting recovery in people with drug and alcohol problems. I have worked in mental health teams, the criminal justice system (including prisons), safeguarding children teams and work with adults and children with physical and learning difficulties.
