As a Computer Science student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I am interested in the fields of robotics, cybersecurity, and interdisciplinary projects. My journey within the STEM field began with a focus on hardware when I started competitive robotics in 8th grade. Throughout high school, I took on the role of team captain, and I am currently the president of the VEX Robotics organization at my university.Upon entering college, my interests evolved, leading me to explore the software side of the industry. I have began to learn multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++. Understanding the logic and code that goes in to making mechanical and software systems work is a bridge that I never anticipated enjoying so much. Understanding how different elements of hardware and software collaborate to create the final product is my favorite part of the STEM industry. I am excited to apply my unique blend of experiences to the real world and to leave a meaningful impact.
