I also planned, developed and executed several projects including HKPRDHU's Yellow Ribbon Campaign, Beach Water Safety Campaign, and International Overdose Awareness Day Campaign.As a climate activist, I utilized my position by sharing my knowledge on climate risk, biodiversity and environmental health hazards to the organization’s 5,000 Facebook, 3,300 Twitter and 580 Instagram followers. I also took my responsibility in hosting the bi-weekly all-staff information sessions and daily media monitoring as opportunities to educate HKPRDHU’s 200+ employees on current climate change issues and sustainable living habits. I previously worked as a Communications Officer, Consumer Outreach and Events at the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC). Here I lead the organization of over 180 IBC initiatives, including event execution, sponsorship opportunities, speaking engagements and booth activations as part of the events team. In addition to spearheading events, I managed several key projects, including IBC’s Relay For Life initiative during which I also represented IBC on the Women’s Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) Relay For Life committee as the Communications Lead. I received a post-graduate certificate in public relations at Humber College and am a graduate of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. I spent a semester overseas as part of Telfer's International Exchange program at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. This opportunity allowed me to expand my cultural insight and gain beneficial life experience as I worked with people from all over the globe. I enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants, networking and getting involved in local philanthropic initiatives.
