Genetic variation in FcγRs is thought to influence monoclonal antibody therapy efficacy as a means of treatment for cancer patients. In my role as a research technician I assess genetic variations in FCGR genes as part of large clinical trials and contract research. This work has lead to the publication of a research paper in a peer reviewed journal for which I was a co-author.Responsibilities:• Analysis and reporting of data generated.• Tracking of samples.• Managing orders of reagents and consumables for my lab group.• Maintaining up to date and relevant scientific knowledge.• Liaising with experts across a range of projects to meet needs and requirements.• Writing PowerPoint presentations, SOPs, bioanalytical reports, instructional guides for experimental procedures/use of software/data analysis.Key Skills:• Technical skills in genetics and cell biology.• Effective management of personal workload and communication of results.• Use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and machinery.

During my 12 month tenure as an English Teacher in Gwangju, South Korea, I was responsible for the creation and delivery of multi-level educational programmes to students of a diverse range of age and ability, from young children to university students and adults. My students were exclusively Korean, demanding a flexible and proactive approach to delivery of information in cases where my no common language was available. In order to better communicate with students and colleagues I endeavored to acquire a functional level of spoken and written Korean.In this position I demonstrated a great deal of adaptability to new challenges and situations, a proactive approach to overcoming difficulties, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a great deal of self-motivation.
