A communications and placemaking specialist with more than 20 years experience, I have worked for corporate and consumer clients, in both the public and private sectors. I am the Chief Executive of the EC BID in the City of London; one of the largest BIDs on the country, and part of the Primera portfolio of central London Business Improvement Districts. Driving value through place based partnership sits at the heart of our offer, demonstrating how to turn collective will into collective action and tangible delivery.Previously, I was Director of Communications at Primera and I worked across the Primera portfolio, including our projects in the City and in Westminster. Prior to joining Primera, I ran my own consultancy, Kate Hart Consulting, set up in 2015, to enable me to focus on my particular specialism of placemaking, having worked on a number of regeneration projects over the years. Before establishing my own consultancy I was a Director at Keeble Brown and M&N Communications and prior to that I set up Place PR with Ben Ruse in 2010. Previously I worked for leading PR agencies and the Government for many years. I was an Account Director at London Communications Agency where I led work for King's Cross Central, Tesco Ltd, London & Quadrant, High Speed 1 and St Pancras International.I joined LCA from PR consultancy Fishburn Hedges where I was Media Relations Manager for BBC TV Licensing. Prior to moving in to consultancy I built up more than six years experience in the public sector, with a particular focus on housing, planning and regeneration issues. My career included over three years working at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), advising the Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, Nick Raynsford and latterly, the former Housing Minister Yvette Cooper on communication issues. I also worked on secondment in Number 10 Downing Streets press office.I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2001 with an MA in Political Communication and before that studied for my BA at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
