The Gordon Wilson Flats has recently been swept up in a sea of controversy surrounding its architectural significance. Less attention, however, has been paid to the social history of the building. To address this, Victoria University hired me to conduct an exploratory project, investigating primarily oral histories.Via social and print media, I located and interviewed eleven previous tenants. I also conducted archival research on the Flats’ history.
