DISTRICT 18, Honorable Ray Whitley, Serving Sumner CountyPrimary Focuses:- Oversaw the Sumner County Recovery Court entrance program- Worked hand-in-hand with the TN Board of Pharmacy to handle and distribute reports to agencies throughout the county.- Compiled data and created presentations for criminal trials. - File creation and organization for monthly Grand Jury hearings.- Worked face-to-face with individuals involved in legal matters to include other legal professionals and citizens. - Directly assisted the TN Highway Safety Office to write grants to assist in preventing and providing funding to DUI programs throughout the state.

The Community Corrections service was created to divert felony offenders from the Tennessee Prison system and to provide necessary supervision and services to the offenders with the goal of reducing the probability of continued criminal behavior while maintaining the safety of the community.Primary focuses:- Monitored approximately 75 cases at any given time.- Worked with individuals to get jobs, counseling, and education to prevent recidivism.- Handled confidential information. - Researched and created reports for the court system.
