I am currently an Intern at the Westin Providence in the Sales office. Everyday I am there I learn something new and interesting. Through this experience I have become interested in the Catering/Convention Services field. The idea of planning an event from beginning to end and working with other individuals while watching the final product come together is exciting. With the end of my internship fast approaching, one of my final goals is to take on more responsibility with a group and instead of assisting to make some key decisions with the help of current management.Since 2006 I have been working for Brown Shoe Company in a Famous Footwear store. Just about two years ago I was promoted to Assistant Store Manager. Currently I am responsible for employee development and coaching, all aspects of store appearance, administrative work, and the ability to communication and work in conjuction with three other members of management.Specialties: My degree in communicatioin has contributed to skills both personally and professionally. Through my studies at Bryant in Communication I have developed skills in time management, achieving goals I have set for myself, team work, and I have also have become more analytical and logical through the study of theories. Studying communication has also helped me to fine tune my decision making, presentation, writing, research, listening, and critical thinking skills to name a few.
