Developed natural language processing models to inform academic publishing and patent research. Built a model to predict the length of time a bike in a dockless bike share system will be left idle before it is rented again. Able to identify broken or hidden bikes to recover an average of 6 hours of usability per bike. Passively collected over three weeks of real-time bike share data using an AWS EC2 server as the dataset for this project.Worked in small teams to model and interpret real-world data, including:* auction prices (using linear regression), * customer churn (using gradient boosting and a cost matrix), * movie recommendations (using matrix factorization), and * fraud detection (using an ensemble model incorporating natural language processing and boosting).Projects also included exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, and feature engineering.
