Hi, My name is Katelyn Walters and I am a high school senior graduating Summa Cum Laude in June 2021. I am seeking connections within my future university and connections related to a future career in Exercise Physiology. I will be attending East Carolina University in the Fall of 2021. I will be a Chancellors Fellow within the honors college which is a full-tuition scholarship. I have also received the State Employees Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship. Within my high school I am President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a member of National Honors Society, a member of National Math Honors Society, a member of National History Honors Society, a leader in the Chick-fil-a Leadership Academy, and the head student athletic trainer within my school's sports medicine club. I will be graduating 10th in my class of 438 students with a weighted GPA of 4.57 and unweighted 3.97. I also love to volunteer! I am currently the director and coordinator of SLAM JAM, a volunteering event within my church. I have also worked with Habitat for Humanity, Inter-faith Food Shuttle, the Food Bank of Eastern NC, and many other small volunteering event within my community. I am a part of my church's youth council which has opened me up to many volunteering and mission work throughout the United States.I have participated in an internship through my school at Warehouse Athletics and all sports training facility where I worked with photography, social media, and maintaining a website.
