Working for this senior living community has given me a new found appreciation for others. During COVID, I have taken on many responsibilities which include; organizing spreadsheets, making appointments for managers/sales directors, ensured that COVID tests were completely in a timely manner, filing and sorting documents for directors. Aside from the extra projects I picked up, I was the first point of contact with everyone that walked into the community. I made sure to always have a smile on my face and do what I could to assist any resident or visitor. I am excited to see where my future leads me from having this experience and hope to one day get in the healthcare industry.

Joining this clothing warehouse allowed me to get experience with HR duties such as; onboarding and orientation for new hires. This job also showed me the importance of inventory control and to double check that the correct amount was getting shipped/received. I got the privilege to examine the labor costs by reviewing previous campaigns and seeing where we succeed and where we lost profit. I also gained much knowledge with excel by entering multiple order entries.

Everyone loves Starbucks- and if they tell you they don't...well, they must be lying. Working here gave me experience I would not have received anywhere else. From the energetic coworkers, to interacting with customers every day, I was able to use my customer service talents to the best of my ability. Each day was unlike the one before and this gave me a good understanding of change and how to adapt. I enjoyed being able to learn new recipes and connect with customers.

This small real estate company gave me experience that I continue to use to this day. Seeing the behind the scenes of what goes on for buying, remodeling, and selling a house showed me the power of being confident. It was important to always wear a smile and talk to the client like they were your family. Aside from the filing and recording paperwork, I was able to connect with the employees and clients on a more personal level. Watching people fall in love with the house of their dreams made me proud to work with such a great team.

I was able to gain experience in cash handling, customer service, and the importance of accuracy. Cross-selling products to clients was a good way to find my voice and learn how to hold a professional conversation. I am grateful for my time as a teller and will continue to use those skills in my everyday life.
