Ohio Journalist magazine is a yearly publication sent out to all of the Ohio University alumni who were in the Scripps School of Journalism. I work directly with the director and editor-in-chief, Bob Stewart, to establish an organized timeline and process to produce this magazine. I created a style guide and recruited a team of designers and assign them spreads and work with them to design and maintain a professional and inviting publication that lives up to the high standards of Scripps.

I work with the marketing team to design and produce promotional materials for Ohio University's on and off campus dining venues, retail stores and coffee shops. Often times I attend and/or direct a photoshoot for a particular promotion.

I direct and manage a creative staff of 15-20 other students to produce Ohio University's only high gloss print publication. I'm responsible for managing the entire style of the magazine, designing feature and department spreads, working directly with our printer, working with Backdrop's art directors in teaching underclassman our style guide and other design techniques and putting the whole master spread together to create our final product. I was promoted to Student Manager in early 2012. I direct and manage a staff of over 100 students along side other student managers to provide excellent service for Ohio University's Culinary Services.

I worked with multiple designers to assist them in completing their monthly business-to-business magazines. I worked on a number of different projects including feature and department spreads for print and mobile devices, insert ads and supplements for businesses advertising with GIE and online flipbooks for international versions of a business magazine.

I was responsible for designing the front and jump page for our student-run campus newspaper once a week. This included helping the editors narrow down which stories to run, assisting the inside page designers and spending hours perfecting the front page.

I worked on updating and creating new logos, business cards, iPod app icons, cut sheets, recruitment banners, creating consistency in their design throughout the company, and many other various tasks.I was also their photographer taking portraits of each employee for their website and directory and photographing the RoviSys office life for various uses such as recruiting and website usage as well.It was interesting working for an engineering company because I was one of the only people there with a creative background. It was challenging in the beginning designing for people who generally have a more simple eye for design, but it has taught me that I can adapt to a form of design that I'm not used to in order to fit what the customer wants. I introduced some new types of design to the company and it was a great experience learning how to adjust my design to fit a certain company's needs.
