What is it about solving problems that is so darn satisfying? That inclination to find impactful solutions and my innate desire to understand how things work "behind the scenes" or "under the hood" are what drew me to a unique career in web development. I've been a graphic designer for the majority of my career and while I enjoy the creative-conceptual side of my brain, I have been yearning to explore the logical, solution-based side! The seed was first planted upon taking a web design class in college. But it wasn't until I took a beginner Javascript course that I finally understood how much my brain enjoyed learning a new language and using that language to find tech-based solutions.It was an easy choice from there to fully foster that seed of curiosity and dive into the technical wonder and chaos that is a software engineering immersive course. During my schooling at Fullstack Academy, I worked on multiple solo projects and was lucky to work alongside a few brilliant students where we deployed two team projects with tech stacks including: Express, Sequelize, React, Redux, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Google Firestore, socket.io, Mapbox, and more.With a great foundation of technical knowledge under my belt, I am enthusiastically reaching to learn even more technologies and coding languages and jazzed to press forward with the hopes of building and shaping solutions for projects large and small!Skills:Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js/Express, Git, Github, and HTML5/CSS3.Strong working knowledge of Agile development, React, Redux, REST APIs, Sequelize, PostgresSQL, Google Firestore, and Microsoft Office.Extensive experience and mastery of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe XD.github.com/katelyndevine
