Katelyn Doan Email and Phone Number
As an enthusiast for continuous improvement, I strive as an individual to help those who are looking to improve aspects of their lives to make things more efficient and more satisfying, helping those looking to develop the skills to improve on their own. While industrial engineering can sound complex, my goal is to make systems more approachable for users and make them work alongside us. With a strong passion and developing background for Lean, I honed my skills to help design new systems for process improvement in local manufacturing facilities and businesses. I also take pride in my work as a lead in the UW Industrial Assessment Center helping provide small and medium manufacturers with free energy assessments to help them guide them in better practices for energy and process efficiency. As an individual, I take pride in my ability to bridge the gap between Lean and everyday life. Although the end goal may seem impossible to do in one day, taking the time to continuously improve every day, ensures that my efforts do not go unnoticed. While I may not be the best version of myself right now, it does not mean I can’t get closer to it tomorrow. This aspect also applies to my learning journey where although there may be some challenges in the beginning, I will continuously atone to find ways to tackle them head-on, learning in the process. Technically and personally, I continue to stay ahead of the curve in the industry by atoning my skills whenever I go. While there is much to do, I continue to take life one step at a time to apply what I learn from like-minded professionals and individuals to become the best person I can be for society.
