Katelyn (Katie) Eaves is native to Fayetteville, Arkansas where she grew up with four siblings. During her time at Fayetteville High School, Katie was a state champion golfer and selected as First Chair Soprano II at ACDA All State Choir Competition before graduating in 2005. Katie received a vocal performance scholarship to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Music for Vocal Performance with a minor in General Business from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2009. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a paralegal before making the decision to attend law school. In 2010, Katie moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she attended the William H. Bowen School of Law for her first year of law school before transferring to the University of Arkansas School of Law due to her husband’s new career opportunities in NWA. She graduated from law school in 2013 cum laude with a focus in tax and business law. After taking the bar exam, Katie moved to Gainesville, Florida where she received a Masters in Law degree in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2014.

After one semester of clinic work, I accepted the position of Student Coordinating Attorney, providing a more managerial role over other clinic students. Bankruptcy Clinic Student: throughout one semester, I was able to obtain Chapter 7 discharges for two separate low-income clients, and close out multiple other cases held over from previous semesters. This clinic gave me the opportunity to attend Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Arkansas and provided some essential litigation experience.
