Provided research assistance to a rigorous evaluation of a multi-year relationship education program for middle school students.

Research Fellow with Project READY, a NIAA-funded research study thats' ultimate goal is to REduce Alcohol use and Dating abuse among Youth (READY)Research responsibilities included quantitative data collection by administering surveysabout alcohol use and dating violence to adolescents ages 14-21 who are patients in the pediatric emergency department at Boston University Medical Center (BUMC); qualitative data collection to better understand the linkages between substance use and dating violence and formative data for intervention development by conducting interviews with patients ages 14-23 in the emergency departments at BUMC.Presented research at the BUSPH Maternal and Child Health Forum in the Spring of 2011

Provided administrative support to the Department Chair, Administrator, faculty and staff. Assisted Department Chair and faculty with formatting grants, presentations, announcements, and events. Served as financial assistant to the Department and Financial Manager. Worked with Department Curriculum Coordinator on tasks regarding course readers, student functions, guest speaker liaison, pay honorariums, and coordinate logistics for events.

Supported Department Administrator, faculty and staff in all aspects of department needs and Department Chair with senior editor responsibilities and research assistance.Planned and coordinated department events including research meetings, faculty meetings, and speaking engagements.Prepared all department accounts payable documents, managed miscellaneous expenditures and maintained department budgetary and post-award databases.Collaborated with Curriculum Coordinator on course readers, student functions, guest lecturers.

Coordinated a summer enrichment plan for Boston youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders, The Bridge Center – BPS Pilot Program. Developed outreach documents to build awareness of the pilot program and evaluation tools: pre- and post-camp interviews and surveys and weekly self-reports for parents. Evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of the enrichment plan.Collaborated with participants of Mayor Menino’s AutismInitiative and The Bridge Center.
