I worked in collaboration with a group of teams to fairly score and distribute funds for the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program. The program sponsors programs throughout the State of Colorado, biannually. This round, we distributed over 10 million dollars to programs to benefit youth. The work involved communicating and compromising within our team to be sure each organization received this crucial funding.

-Wrote a desk review on breastfeeding and nutrition habits in infants in Karamoja, Uganda for UNICEF.-Scouted Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Picture Impact, drafted budgets, and wrote project proposals.-Collaborated on two desk reviews for projects with PEPFAR Haiti and UNICEF Uganda.-Conducted in-depth research on Orphans & Vulnerable Children/HIV/AIDSprograms in Haiti.

-Interviewed young African American men and their caretakers for the Epidemiology & Community Health division of the School of Public Health at theUniversity of Minnesota and gathered data for the Communities Invested in Healthy Life Trajectories of African American Boys Research Project.-Addressed sensitive issues with interviewees, such as difficulties with their home and social lives.-Employed principles of Motivational Interviewing to encourage healthy lifestyle choices.

-Graduate Capstone Project involving a comprehensive desk review on Maternal and Childhood Health practices throughout West Africa with the goal of learning about practices in the area to discover potential "holes" in development programs. -Interviewed stakeholders and created profiles for potential users.-Developed a report and infographic to provide to Picture Impact and presented findings.

I graduated with my Masters in Development Practice from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

-Co-authored an analytical report of Floating Doctors that evaluated each part of their organizational model, including a logic model and strategic steps forward.-Systematically analyzed the programs of the organization Floating Doctors and conducted staff and volunteer interviews.-Reviewed the organization’s procedures in Public Health to ensure the needs of their stakeholders were met through sustainable practices.

Acted as Clinic Support and performed administrative duties while also promoting health and wellness through therapy and exercise.

Supported teachers and supervised students, often in Special Education. Acted as a role model and leader to all students.

Taught 18 classes of 50 students each. Dealt with all types of learning abilities with limited resources. Successfully communicated properties of the English language to Thai students. Volunteered at rural schools teaching an under-served student population. Managed and planned camps, workshops, and activities for students and teachers.
