I am a digital storyteller with a diverse background in health care, higher-ed, and tech communications. I am passionate about the content development process, and importantly the collaboration aspect of working with diverse teams. I excel in internal and external communication, driving engagement, and developing effective digital communication strategies. I have applied my communications skill sets to my passion for Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity, Accessibility and Reconciliation initiatives such as; - co-developing Equity & Belonging communications guidelines and sitting on the Equity & Belonging steering committee at IWK Health in Halifax, NS.- pursuing a Master's degree in Communications Management at McMaster University with research interests focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and communications.- Indigenous health and rights advocacy by volunteering as the promotions coordinator executive for the McMaster Indigenous Health MovementBefore my life in communications, I worked part-time as a collaborative pianist and piano teacher. Outside of work, you can find me playing piano and cello with the Dundas Valley Orchestra.
