Fresh Star Counseling is a private practice providing telehealth counseling services online. I am the owner and I am a counselor for the company.

Provide training, supervision and individual support to persons with developmental disabilities. Provide active treatment designed and developed by an interdisciplinary team to maximize the independent living skills of each person, i.e. hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, leisure skills, community awareness, safety, money management, and routine household duties. Assist clients with activities of daily living including routine physical, emotional, psychological and rehabilitative care. Provide other client support services, which include transporting/escorting persons to and from various activities or appointments. Train and assist clients with choices/self determination in all areas of their lives. Perform personal care for persons of both genders. Provide protective intervention to clients challenging behaviors when necessary per policy. Observe, document and report physical, medical or behavioral changes in clients and assist with medical/behavioral emergencies providing for clients health, safety, security and protection from abuse and/or neglect. Participate on the Behavior Response Team and Fire Team calls when needed and complete any necessary documentation required. Maintain clients' home, keeping it safe and clean while respecting personal property. Being a responsible role model for clients, by showing appropriate dress, manners, language, etc.

I was an Intern and I assisted the Psychologist with 90 day reviews, data collection, and observations. I also assisted the secretary with filling and and purging client paper work. I was able to learn about the process of a client going out to community placement, and was able to sit in on many different meetings such as 90 day reviews, the human rights comity panel, and placement meetings.

AsA psych Intern I provided Milu Therapy, worked as part of an interdisciplinary team, wrote positive behavior support plans, and proveded group therapeutic servise to clients with developmental disabilities.

Within a Division of Developmental Disabilities Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) under the direction of a higher level Adult Training Specialist, professional or supervisory staff, I wrote and implemented vocational, educational, behavioral, therapy, motor, social, or community living skill training programs. Some of the programs may be developed by professional staff, such as a psychologist or speech pathologis. The resident training normally occurs in a work or training reas, but may take place in other settings on or off campusThese positions report to and are supervised by an Adultt Training Supervisor or other professional responsible for therapy and training. Training provided includes the following list of areas, and will set measurable objectives/goals for intellectual disabled individuals:· Skill building and maintenance · Individual and group programs· Social skills· Sensory awareness· Other programs as assigned

The designed shift charge for an assigned living unit/area at Rainier School; acted as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing active treatment, assistance, and safety to persons with intellectual disabilities both on and off campus; and participated in the development of and execution of client's Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP), active treatment, training and independent living skills.

I shadowed different positions at the office and learned what each person brings to the table for resource to the community.
