Contributor to a number of local and national culinary-focused publications. Co-authored “Sweet Celebrations” with Sylvia Weinstock, and authored “The Perfect Wedding Cake”.

Responsible for sales and management of the licensing division of Edible Communities Publications, a community of 100 + publishers in discrete culinary locations throughout the US and Canada. Identify license opportunities, perform due diligence on territory demographics and local economy, and serve as first line of contact for potential licensees in the process of recruiting, screening, and selecting new properties. Meet with candidates to review business plans and budgets, determine strength and viability of new territories as well as potential licensee, handling all financial and contract negotiations to final sale. Provide on-going business consulting to new licensees.

Created and developed a quarterly print and digital publication focused on the unique traditional and local food traditions and culture of New Mexico. Managed all aspects of business: Brand development; cross-platform content integration; online content development for web and e-news; web site traffic growth, print/web site advertising revenue; business plan & sales strategy development; public relations; community partnerships; event planning and execution; audience development, distribution and circulation, editing, writing, design and layout. Designed and maintained website with weekly updates, and cultivated social media presence. Organized local events around food and wine, hosted authors and book signings, classes, and wrote a monthly e-newsletter.

Funded by a Citibank Innovation Grant to create a membership organization for value added food producers in New Mexico. Created the mission, timeline, and business structure for organization, focusing on promoting standards and best practices in food production and packaging, providing access to the lowest prices for the highest quality ingredients, and providing business planning tools and resources.

We host a series of weekly cooking classes, workshops and talks taught by local and national experts in the field of cooking, sustainable food, farming, and backyard gardening.

Created and nurtured Edible Radio Podcast series for Edible Communities: an online podcast network to talk to food activists, chefs, authors, sustainable food and drink entrepreneurs. Creator and host of Kitchen Sync Stories show twice monthly for 3 years.
