Back in 2005, I sold my house, sofa-surfed, and put my world into storage in order to build McCarthy Recruitment. Why? Because people are my life.I never felt like I fully fit in anywhere, but something clicked when I got into recruitment. I could leverage my love of building connections and providing a good service to make money. And after working at companies that never put their employees first, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.I've always been the girl who was told to be quiet in class, that ladies weren't supposed to be outspoken, and asked by my family, "What would they think?"I never realised that that upbringing and those qualities would set me up to become a strong leader and resilient business owner.Because the thing is, I might be all heart, but I'm not for the faint-hearted. My team knows that I'm extremely empathetic… but I will always call someone out.At the end of the day, I'm a hard grafter, no-bullsh*t girls girl, who's committed to bringing out the best in people. And in my personal life, I'm constantly chasing down my 2 incredible boys, working as a charity trustee of the Ukrainian Family Hub, consulting for businesses and planning date nights with my husband. If you fancy learning more about me or McCarthy, I'm always keen for a chat!
