I’m a highly motivated individual, currently a junior at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. I’m majoring in Accounting and Digital Technology Management and have a passion for meeting new people, learning, and serving the community. I place great emphasis on academics, and the honors I achieved in high school demonstrate this. During that period, I was part of and held various leadership positions in Associated Student Body, California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society, Renaissance Club, and National Charity League. It’s important to me that I stay involved in organizations like this, as well as giving back to the community and helping those in need.As a student at Indiana University, I’ve enjoyed making connections and learning more about my career field. I’m also getting involved around campus. As a result of my academic performance, I enjoy memberships with Phi Eta Sigma and the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Societies. In addition, I’m the Treasuer of the Chi Omega Fraternity, overseeing and managing an annual budget of over $250,000 for our 250 members. I’m also a member of the Middle Eastern Business Association. Participation in all of these organizations has been a great way to meet people and expand my horizons. From an academic perspective, I’ve emphasized finance and numbers in my course load. I’m highly analytical by nature, making the pursuit of a career in accounting a perfect fit. To that end, during my sophomore year I was a peer tutor for K201 - Computers in Business. This allowed me to grow more as a leader, and provided me the opportunity to share my skill set with others. I’ve found this to be very rewarding.I plan to spend a fifth year at Indiana University, which will enable me to obtain a Masters in Science in Accounting with Data and Analytics degree in addition to my Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Digital Technology Management. This will also better-prepare me for the Certified Public Accountant exam, which I plan to take immediately upon graduating.
