I define and calculate the internal and external shipping requirements based on demand forecasts and billet and coil storage requirements by site to ensure adequate inventory of materials and products. • Define build requirements across sequential Melt, Roll & Process operations that span 3 sites. Understand the nonlinear relationships between near term customer demand and how it impacts melt, roll and process operations requirements.• Define facility loading guidelines for Melting, Rolling and Processing.• Develop and maintain capacity models used by multiple levels of the organization.• Proactively manage and resolve mid-range capacity constraints with manufacturing.• Proactively forecast production over/under loads in future time periods, level load production over 1.2 million tons across 6 production facilities and identify potential corrective actions to balance capacity.• Plan, organize and control the monthly master schedule that balances the overall capacity, material availability, inventory levels and customer service levels required to meet company objectives. • Oversee disposition of aged material.• Update build plan, highlight issues and report out in planning and S&OP meetings.• Develop and maintain close interpersonal relationships with other areas of the business to optimize the scheduling of product.• Supervise and develop employees to expand S&OP process knowledge and lead supply chain process reengineering and continuous improvement activities.
