About Kate Mccormick

Hi, I'm Kate - a native Ohioan that loves live music, exploring new places, building gallery walls, and reading murder mysteries. I have a long-standing habit of purchasing home decor I have no place for and have no plans to break it. I try to live in the moment where I get the thing, I take the trip, I buy the tickets. Professionally speaking, I'm a scrappy, progress-obsessed maximizer that has been laser-focused on helping retailers build better relationships with their Customers since I started my career back in 2005. For the past 12 years (and counting) dunnhumby has been the place where I do this, because they've always embraced my need to learn new things and grow new skill sets. This past year I've added price and promotion to my more seasoned experience in loyalty and CRM. I'm very inspired by the gray area between these two functions and learned success is in a retailers' ability to seamlessly connect. The greater the operational divide, the more trouble the retailer is in. Ways of working, I love a good business challenge and am known for making things happen in a high energy / contagious enthusiasm type of way. My communication style skews informal but can read a room and situation well enough to know when to amp up the formality. I tend to lean in more than I sit back which is why I 1) am not afraid to 'fess up when I mess up and 2) stay very agile in my approach to managing teams, projects, and objectives.
