"Never start a business to make money, start a business to make a difference." -Marie ForleoGrowing up the idea of being a business owner was always an inspiration of mine, but I never knew what kind of business I wanted to create. It was not till I first saw the movie Wedding Planner when I was 8, that I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to become a wedding planner just like Jennifer Lopez. Silly I know, but the idea of being a part of the happiest day of someone's life, and making a difference seemed the most rewarding job of all. So over time and some growing up, I still hold some of the same dreams. I would love to one day become an event planner and own my own company. Majoring in marketing is the first step to reaching my dream. During the spring of 2013, I started my own company called Prints By Kate. Within my company I create and design personalized invitations and decorations for events. Owning this business allows me to strengthen my problem solving, planning, and organization skills. Creating this business is just another positive step of being able to make a difference in others lives and reaching my own dreams.
