A working group of Foundations dedicated to strengthening communities in Western New York and Monroe County through capacity building support for nonprofits. Responsible for designing and directing strategy, in partnership with group members, and managing the day-to-day operations of the group.

Served as Diector, Community Impact supporting and advancing the Foundation's program areas including community leadership initiatives, research, grantmaking and evaluation. Developed and maintained a strong network related to the Foundation's community goals involving a diverse group of citizens, professionals, community stakeholders, and elected officials. Partook in grant writing and administration.

Served as Director of Social Services for the second most populated county in the nation with a focus on individuals and families facing homelessness due to eviction and foreclosure. Designed and directly oversaw three programs with the Eviction Department and Civil Process Department. Directly managed and trained 112 deputies on Social Service Policy and Procedures and three administrative office staff.Highlights of accomplishments:• Created, launched and directed the Cook County Sheriff Eviction Social Service Department in October 2008• Developed partnerships with over 200 government, police, and nonprofit agencies• Responsible for coordinating services for over 22,000 families including services related to senior citizens, social security disability, health related concerns, child and adult protective services, domestic violence, shelter placement, housing and employment • Represented the Department before professional, industrial, and civic groups• Worked on special projects from Executive Office including policy work

Assessed community needs and developed programs to meet those needs, such as a Police and Child week-long summer camp for at-risk youth and an educational presentation on actions and consequences. Presented programs to youth grades K-12, parents, educators and the community in the following areas: alcohol/drug education; violence prevention; leadership and safety.

Worked as Mobile Crisis Response Team Children’s Specialist, at a non-profit crisis center. Provided assessment, counseling, and advocacy over the phone and out in the community. Highlights of accomplishments:• Responsible for crisis intervention, lethality assessments, and evaluation for youth experiencing a mental health crisis for transport to emergency psychiatric hospital• Linked children and families with on-going services in the community and short term care coordination
