Kate Pitts has over 20 years of experience as an Employee Benefits and Project Management Professional. She runs teams of benefits professionals and is dedicated to maximizing employee engagement, long-term cost containment strategies, and wellness/disease management programs that are uniquely customized for each of her clients. She is currently a Partner at Newfront.Prior to Newfront she spent time on the private client side at Union Bank where she was in charge of managing health and welfare programs for 15,000+ employees and retirees. Kate's previous consulting experience at three large (local and multi-national) firms working with clients ranging from 50 to over 10,000 employee lives with various funding mechanisms and complexities has prepared her to bring solid experience coupled with fresh and creative ideas to her work. During her tenure with one firm, the company’s largest client hired her as their Wellness Director. Kate completed a Fellowship with The Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress while completing her Masters Degree in Health Policy from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. During her time with The Center and while working with Former Assistant Surgeon General Dr. Blumenthal, she was focused on wellness legislation and health reform initiatives’ impact on the business community. She has been published a number of times in The Huffington Post.Kate has served on both the Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH) and Northern California Employee Benefits Council Board of Directors. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She is Worksite Wellness Certified Levels I (Specialist) and II (Program Manager) and holds her current PMP, Life and Accident and Health licenses in California.
